School Picnic with the Stickyfingers

HELKAT admires her daddy. He is her hero

Today was a special day at the BIG BOY'S school. They had a family picnic. Nick got off work for a few hours and came spent the afternoon with us. It was Sunshine and Giggles.

HELKAT teaseing her daddy.

HELKAT is like "Oh, Cheese, Dad is so lame."

While HELKAT and Daddy Goofed off Angry Byrd took in the scene.

Hk had a blast playing at the park while she waited for the BIG BOYS.

                                            LET'S EAT

He ended up with school lunch and the lunch we got him. This little boy was so excited to have two lunches. He wouldn't eve give me a bite of his sandwich! So greedy! LOL. Two lunches to a growing boy is like hitting the lottery!

I am used to a lot of chatter from this one but today lunch was really quiet! See why?

Cheez-it! YUM!

The kids would not cheese it up for me today. They were totally feeling uncool being seen with mom. :(

This is the best I could do for a group shot. "Mom, we are eating!"

                                           NICK GETS THE CAMERA

Nick gets the camera and takes a million pictures of me. That's why I hold the camera. :)

Day and Night- sticky fingers in review

This week the boys had a military hat day and the babies joined in on the fun.

Oh but in this house, precious moments don't last long. The sticky fingered snot nose babies started fighting over a bath seat. It was MMA style around here. I maybe should have broken it up but it was so funny to watch unfold. Plus, as a seasoned mother of siblings I have learned if no one is bleeding...let the fight take it's course. They are learning important social skills....MMA style.

She lost interest in the fight when she saw the camera and posed. My kids love the camera.
I was putting my camera away when they suddenly started to be super adorable again...awe, love these moments.

Donuts after church means sticky icky sticky fingered babies. We were getting ready for bed time and these two decided they could manage their bath on their own.

Bedtime Chart means the kids get book time. Dr. Seuss is a big deal in this house. Bee always cracks up as I sing-read this incredibly tongue twisterific book. HK would much prefer he be quiet.

Nap time for Angry Byrd means mommy and me time for HK and me. I did my work out and  HK busied herself with water play. Once I was done with HIP HOP ABS I joined in her crazy fun. Most people see the reserved side of HK but when it's just me and her she is all smiles and goofiness. I love these moment.

Daddy got home early and the kids had a great game of UNO.

This sweet dirty face brightens my world.

Card games are a big deal around here.

Springing into action

The begining of this week was a bunch of yucky weather. So we brought the wagon in for some make believe fun! HK pretended that her friend Lilly and Jax were joining her on a mission to help Dora. She kept calling Angry byrd, "baby Jax." I sat and giggled for hours watching their adventours unfold.

Hk has odd fashion for Church. I just have to roll with it. Dress with pants and mix matched socks...It works.

Growing up I spent the best part of my childhood in my grandfather's garden. I keep trying to give my kids the same gift my grandparents gave me...The joy of watching the earth evolve and grow. I remember my grandfather making me run around his garden and letting me pick fresh veggies. I remember my grandmother chasing me around with mosquito spray. Avon still makes me squimish. Today they threw down multch, smelled flowers and pranced in the mud.

She bathed herself in the sink like a big girl.

The warrirors are preparing for a 5k and I needed to be at the park to learn my role. The kids were hilarious. My Jr found a caterpillar.  Bee was all smiles as he ran out his energy. HK was dramatic as always.

My favorites from today. I love this family of mine. I am truly blessed.
